PANSALB ISSUES MULTILINGUAL AWARDS FOR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES

The Pan South African Language Board (PANSALB) has awarded a National Prize to the most successful public and private institutions promoting multiculturalism in South Africa.

The categories covered by the awards are music, literature, institutions of high learning, the media, the corporate sector and the public and government sector.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Education emphasized the importance of promoting each and every language commonly used in South Africa and encouraged initiatives that, like the multilingualism awards, raise the profile of each of the state
