LegislationConstitution(Adopted on December 22, 1947) (Effective since January 1, 1948) (Document Status January 1, 2000) Article 3 (Equality) (1) All citizens possess an equal social status and are equal before the law, without distinction as to sex, race, language, religion, political opinions, and personal or social conditions. Article 6 (Linguistic Minorities) The Republic shall safeguard linguistic minorities by means of special provisions.
